Joint Venture partners: Strike Oil Ltd (40% and Operator), Carnarvon Petroleum Ltd (35%)
EP110 & EP424 in the Carnarvon Basin have an onshore/offshore area of 3,869 sq. km. Two main leads have been identified: the Baniyas prospect (potential for 44 MmBbls (P10) and Up-dip Jasper prospect (possibly 2-10 MmBbls)).
These permits are within 10km of producing oil & gas fields (Roller, Skate, Cowle and Saladin) operated by Chevron Texaco.
The joint venture is seeking access to adjacent acreage which covers the extension of the Baniyas Prospect and will seek a farminee to join the joint venture for Baniyas drilling.
Baniyas drilling is planned first half 2010.
