
Namibia is under-explored with seven onshore and eleven offshore wells. Offshore Namibia contains the significant Kudu gas discovery which demonstrates the presence of an active petroleum system. The country has an encouraging oil and gas regime and is economically and politically stable.
Namibia has become a focus for oil and gas exploration, following the recognition of similarities of offshore Brazil and the plate tectonic conjugate of offshore Namibia. Exploration activity, including drilling, is expected to continue to be high in coming years.
